8 Tips for Event Safety

A safe event is a successful event and event security is an issue for everyone these days. From red carpet events to county fairs, trade shows and fashion shows, ensuring the proper security measures are in place is essential. But what does this mean?

1. Expert Advice

Hire experts who know how to deal with large events and handling situations in a professional way. Ask for references and make sure they are properly insured.

2. Assess Your Event

A professional security firm will risk assess your event, an important step in determining the perceived level of threat (if there are any) and the security measures that need to be in place.

3. Prepare for Protest

This point isn’t for everybody but if you know your product, service, company or sponsor may attract negativity or a protest, you need to flag this up with the security firm and the local police too.

If it is an invite-only event, the security firm will need to be familiar with the guest list and be on hand at all entry and exit points for the event.
